The 1875 Inn at Tilton & Patriot's Tavern, built as a country inn, has been functioning as one again since its restoration in 200l. In the cozy tavern, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and raised wood paneling and fieldstone fireplace, both dating back to the 1875 construction, diners can enjoy pasta or traditional New England seafood like haddock or scallops, broiled or baked with stuffing, or a broiled haddock-shrimp-scallop combination platter.

We stumbled onto the 1875 Inn quite by chance and now count it as one of our favorite places in NH. Everyone from the wait staff to the innkeeper was extremely cordial and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was quite good - very fresh and perfectly prepared. We recommend this lovely inn and restaurant highly.
